Popularity rank 81 #58. Late because of TV

October 25, 2005

JOHN: You're late because of a TV SHOW? That's B.S., dude!
DAN: Nothin' I can do, man. You're the one who wants to rehearse on Wednesday.
JOHN: You obviously don't CARE about this band, Dan!
DAN: YOU'VE obviously never seen "Lost", John!
JOHN: Look, Wednesday's the ONLY day we're all free.
RONI: No, WE'RE all free Monday, but you have your "dance" class.
JOHN: CAPOEIRA is not "dance", Roni!
RONI: Did they find Walt?
DAN: No. It was mostly Korean stuff. Also, Locke said "lost" a lot.

October 24, 2005

JOHN: OK, Dan is now officially an hour late to rehearsal.
CHRISTINA: Can't we just start without him, John?
JOHN: No! We specifically need to work on his guitar parts on "Cathartic Target Practice."
RONI: OK.
RONI: While we're waiting can we discuss what a dumbass song "Cathartic Target Practice" is?
CHRISTINA: It's... pretty dumbass.
JOHN: It's a GREAT song.

October 21, 2005

MARCY: Great job, Veronica! The others from the office had to catch the 1:15 train, but they got to see your first song.
JOHN: Roni, you KNOW this jackass who kept jumping on stage?
CAL: I am a golden god!!
JOHN: Yeah, you almost had a golden goddamned lawsuit on your hands, pal.
MARCY: We better get going, Veronica. Young man: you have a nice voice.
JOHN: Oh... hey, thanks.
RONI: Bye Marcy. Bye Cal.
JOHN: So what's her story? Single?
RONI: Yes, John, she's 68, recently widowed and ready to mingle.

Popularity rank 84 #33. A unified sound

August 2, 2005

TRUDY: Hey, you played great up there. Did you write all the guitar solos.
DAN: Oh, heh, thanks, no, I used to. But not anymore.
DAN: John said it would be a more unified sound if he wrote all the parts. He also said my solos "lack urgency."
TRUDY: Jesus... sounds like a real pretentious dick.
JOHN: Who sounds like a pretentious dick?
DAN: You do, man.
JOHN: Yeah, well, so did Lennon. You wanna give a hand with these amps?
DAN: Hey, I gotta go....

Popularity rank 85 #29. School paper

July 5, 2005

JOHN: Are you "Ari Krumbein"?
SETH: Ari? I think he's in study hall.
JOHN: You tell him John from the Ambulance Men would like to talk about this "review" he wrote in your school "paper".
SETH: How'd you even get a copy of that?
JOHN: And you tell him we do not sound like, "the Bravery covering Lionel Richie, and not in a good way."
SETH: Does Mr. Stahl know you're here?
JOHN: And also tell him this picture he used it outdated and that this press packet has some newer shots....
SETH: I have teacher of the year bios to copyedit, man.
