Popularity rank 1 #5. Still raw.

January 11, 2005

FRANK: Bill. You're 47 years old. You can't put out a "zine".
BILL: Yes, I can, Frank.

BILL: This is for those middle-aged guys out there, like myself, who never gave up their punk fire. They need a voice, Frank. And I'm it.

FRANK: You own a $20 million bookbinding company, Bill.
BILL: And I'm still raw!

FRANK: Can you at least put it on the glossy paper?
BILL: Ha! Glossy paper would be selling out. Bill Dever doesn't sell out.

Popularity rank 2 #190. Corruption-free music

December 29, 2008

GREG: So you won't listen to any band who let their music be used in commercials, movies or TV shows?
BRETT: Yes.

BRETT: I need my music to be free of corruption, so I find music that has never and will never be used for any corporate shilling.

GREG: So where d'you find that?
BRETT: Mainly shitty open mic nights.

BRETT: Only the truly shitty is truly pure.

October 16, 2009

BART: Joel, each day you work in the music industry, a piece of your soul DIES. It hurts a lot at first, but as time passes, you feel it less and less.

BART: And in a certain amount of time, your soul will diminish to trace amounts and stop being an obstacle to your work.

BART: I call it your "INDUSTRY HALF-LIFE".

JOEL: Are you saying my soul is like... radioactive WASTE, sir?
BART: It's not UNlike it, Joel.

September 9, 2009

BOBBY KOTICK: OK, last thing, we need to ship a custom exclusive plastic guitar as part of Guitar Hero: Jumpstart Malady Edition.

BOBBY KOTICK: So pick any of these to be the "Kevin Edo signature guitar."
KEVIN: Bad news, man... I don't use ANY of these brands.

BOBBY KOTICK: Kevin. Selling the plastic makes us $60 more per sale, translating to about $240,000,000 in your pocket.

KEVIN: I could TOTALLY start playing that Gibson Citation...
BOBBY KOTICK: There we go...
