December 31, 2009

STEWART: John?
JOHN: I've got a show at Rockwood tonight, Stewart.
STEWART: OK… why're you at my APARTMENT?

JOHN: You took your name off my email list.
STEWART: I unsubscribed from your list because I don't care about your stupid shows, John.

JOHN: Whatever. Our set's at 11pm. I'm giving you a ride over. Let's go...
STEWART: No! JOHN! I don't WANT to! Let GO!

STEWART: Augh! John! NO! Unsubscribe! UNSUBSCRIBE!!!

Popularity rank 2 #135. Friendship is based on trust

August 2, 2006

STEWART: John? Hey, man. What's... up?
JOHN: "What's up?" I had a show last night, Stewart. Where the hell were you?
STEWART: Oh... I...

JOHN: A friendship is based on trust, Stewart. I loan you my friendship, and I trust you will repay me by coming to my shows, but you've been missing payments, man!

STEWART: And I'm foreclosing on our friendship, Stewart!
JOHN: Whoa.

STEWART: Can I have my Newsradio DVDs back, then?
JOHN: No, Stewart! No! Those DVDs were... "friendship collateral."

Popularity rank 3 #105. Meeting MySpace friends

February 16, 2006

JOHN: OK, click there to ask them to be our friend on MySpace.
DAN: But they're not our friend.

JOHN: That's OK, just ask.
DAN: Shouldn't I send them a message first?

JOHN: No, we wait until they accept us, then we post a comment that says, "Thanks for the add."
DAN: Do we ever actually talk with them?

JOHN: No, no, you see, Dan, MySpace is what's known as an "anti-social network".
DAN: So this cuts all the... interaction out of friendship.

Popularity rank 4 #100. MySpace friends list

February 9, 2006

RONI: She should be able to add her husband as a friend on our myspace page, John.
JOHN: No, look, we gotta keep our list looking hip and young.

RONI: And female and half-naked.
JOHN: Hey, I don't send friend requests, OK? All these people on here sought us out.

RONI: Really? So Brooke Burke and the Suicide Girls are big fans of all our shitty demos you posted?
JOHN: Maybe they are!

CHRISTINA: John, I'm not even a fan of those demos.
RONI: No, he's right, Christina! I bet they all get together and have naked listening parties!
