Popularity rank 1 #247. Post-breakup Facebook strategy

August 15, 2009

BRETT: So she's "hidden" me. But I'll still see her and all her friends in my feed.
THE CLOUD: Well, I can unfriend them.

BRETT: NO! I don't want her to think I'm GIVING UP on her!
THE CLOUD: Of course, then I can just HIDE them.

BRETT: Well, but I want to keep tabs on them... though not her GUY friends.
THE CLOUD: I... suppose I could create a LIST that-

BRETT: While you're at it, hide her stupid KICKBALL TEAM pictures!
THE CLOUD: OK, um... now do you have Greasemonkey installed?

Popularity rank 2 #236. I have to hate MGMT

June 10, 2009

BRETT: Well, as of 3pm, MGMT has over 300,000 fans on Facebook. I have to hate them now.

BRETT: They're becoming mainstream. An anti-MGMT backlash is inevitable. It's like the STOCK MARKET. I gotta get out before the bubble bursts...

GREG: But why so SOON? Aren't you being overly cautious?
BRETT: You don't underSTAND... You weren't there in '99.

BRETT: ...when the bottom fell out of the RETRO SWING market...
GREG: Oh right... the Bryan Setzer "correction."

THE CLOUD: She's clicked "don't show", Brett.

THE CLOUD: You... no longer appear in her feed.
BRETT: NOOOO!!
